Job Type: Working Foreman for £500K refurbishment / office fit out ( Preferably carpentry back ground)

Salary: £200.00 /day

Start Date: Early June 2019 on site for 16 weeks

Location: Wandsworth


You will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project on site, to lead, manage and coordinate the site team and all subcontractors working on site, reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager. You will be dealing with residents, public and are accountable for the site administration, record keeping and reporting documents and oversee Health & Safety and the Welfare of the site team as well as the quality of finish.

It is essential that you have prior experience of refurbishment projects of £500k+

Our Clients are Corporate & Commercial Landlords, Chartered Surveyors, and Property Managers.


Site Management

  • Working with the Project Manager to produce, monitor and maintain the detailed construction programmes
  • Ensuring high-quality standards are set with the Project team at the outset and maintain throughout
  • Monitor progress against these programmes for formal reporting at regular client progress meetings.
  • Where required, assist the Project Manager & QS with subcontractor selection and procurement.
  • Responsible for producing and tracking RFI’s
  • Control of environmental issues of site, including waste, noise and dust management and compliance with the environmental standards
  • Site-based quality control and snagging including quality control inspections and feedback to subcontractors during the works.
  • Site set up
  • Dealing with residents and public
  • Preparing and issuing to the Contracts Manager a weekly report to the standard and in the approved format in use within the company.
  • H&S Compliance:
  • All Health & Safety matters on site e.g. site risk assessment and hazard management, completing weekly H&S audits, accident, and incident recording, reporting and investigation.
  • IT Skills/Communication
  • Microsoft & Google Suite – Sound knowledge.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English


  • Construction – Good knowledge of construction and building processes
  • M&E – Good knowledge of M&E installations
  • Foresight- able to anticipate and head off problems that can jeopardise deadlines and budgets
  • Organised- able to prioritise work for your team is a critical aspect of what a project manager has to do
  • Leadership/Diplomacy- able to motivate and inspire workers;
  • Communications- effectively use e-mail, meetings, and status reports to communicate their ideas, get decisions made and resolve the problem
