Purpose/Overview: As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for driving business growth by developing contacts, identifying market opportunities, and increasing and exceed sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of building relationships in construction with a proven track record.
Accountabilities:
- Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
- Attend industry events and other meetings to stay abreast of market conditions, competition, and establish relationships with existing clients and prospects.
- Provide ongoing progress updates/reports on business development activities and other key indicators to the Managing Director.
- Coordinate and manage the proposal/tender process with Return’s marketing support.
- Liaising with colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies
- Preparing financial projections and sales targets
- Preparing sales presentations
- Participating in sales meetings
- The typical working week for a business development manager will be standard office working hours, Monday-Friday. There may be times where you would need to work in the evening and at weekends, if you’re attending events or exhibition
Qualifications
- Business Development experience (desirable to have a minimum of 5years) in the construction industry with a successful track record of building relationships.
- Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makers at companies and organizations.
- Outstanding presentation and relationship building skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
